Most of the structure is out of the screen after the first shot zooms in. You have to hold your shot for a few seconds, and aim very high for the game to zoom back out to actually see where you’re firing. After launching a character the game automatically zooms in to show the destruction up close, but it doesn’t zoom back out, and just trying to manually zoom can cause firing another shot by accident. Trying to scroll through the levels, and picking a different one causes the game to crash as tested on a fourth gen iPod Touch.

The game crashes from time to time when ever you go back to the level select rather than just tapping next. You expect to jump right back into the action, but the wait times really drag down the whole experience. When you complete a level the game saves, and there is a considerable wait to move on to the next level or even replay the current level for a better score. You want to like the game simply from the name and theme, but there are a number of problems with the game. There are a number of characters with special abilities that are quite unique, and you can switch what character is next to launch rather than going in a specific order. Many levels have friends you can’t destroy or you’ll lose, and the shot meter lets you manipulate power and direction extremely easily as well as identifying your last shot. There are a few minor additions that improve the overall experience and challenge. The familiar launching objects at structure gameplay is included so you know what you’re getting from that. The art style and sound effects contribute to the humorous nature of the game, that doesn’t try to be taken seriously, and just sets out to be fun. The game has a good idea behind it, and a great theme combining so many things, and high on comedy. There are eight special characters including farting panda, bomb dropping rotting zombie, and chopping ninja. Every level is scored based on three stars, and Game Center is included for online high scores and achievements. There are 45 levels in total with 15 in the first chapter, and ten each in the remaining chapters. It’s mainly pirates vs pandas, then zombies vs pirates, then pandas vs ninjas though each of the other groups provides special members to help. In each chapter there is a primary group battling while being helped with a few members of the other groups. There are four chapters of the war that begins with everyone vs pandas, then everyone vs pirates, on to everyone vs ninja, and finally everyone vs zombies. It’s the newest physics based puzzler similar to Angry Birds, but the war is on a much bigger scale than simply birds and pigs.

I’m not even sure why the adorable Pandas are involved. An all out battle is commencing of Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies vs Pandas with everyone in the firing line at one point or another.

I mean, they are all common, but having them all together in one app, it’s crazy. Looking at the bizarre name, I have zero idea how the developers manage to put pirates, ninjas, zombies and pandas in one single game. The Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies vs Pandas war had begun!Īpparently, this game-with-extremely-long-name is a physics-based demolition puzzler made for the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. It was at this tense moment that the Pirates, Ninjas, Zombies and Pandas faced off against one another. Disturbed from a 1000 year slumber the zombie army rose to face those who would dare awake them from their deathly rest. Eventually, the Fat Panda came to rest crashing into the cursed graveyard, the domain of the Zombie King and his army of the undead. Furious and silently outraged the Ninjas watched as the Fat Panda barreled through their spiritual garden destroying all in his path. With one swipe of the Pirate’s blade the Fat Panda fell and tumbled like an out of control juggernaut towards the sacred land of the Ninja Masters and their ancient lotus grove. Rampaging through a deep bamboo forest in their endless hunt for buried treasure, Captain Ashbeard’s rum-soaked pirate crew hacked unwittingly through the den of the pandas, until they disturbed the “Fat Panda” leader from his tree high in the sky. Pan Vision, a leading independent Nordic publisher and distributor has worked together with Tactile Entertainment to bring you their latest game, Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies vs Pandas! (I’m having lots of crazy images floating in my brain as I type its name…) ANYWAY! It’s a game, and it has its story, the story of how it all begans…
